Ms Catherine Date

Profile

I am a qualified Person-centred counsellor with over 20 years’ experience of working therapeutically with clients. I have worked in a variety of settings providing one-to-one counselling or supervision. I have considerable experience working in both Church based and secular settings.

For 10 years I worked for the Church Pastoral Aid Society which supported and trained leaders, both lay and ordained connected to the Anglican Church. Part of my remit was working individually with clergy to help them to understand and explore their personality type to enable them to manage more effectively the rigors of church leadership or to explore issues related to self-care.

For some years I have been a Counselling Lecturer, teaching at The University of Warwick and at Further Education Colleges. I am now working primarily in Private Practice through my company Counselling Dynamics, providing counselling and supervision, from a base in Warwick.

I relish the opportunity of working with new people and would love to hear from you if you would be interested in exploring if I would be an appropriate person for you to work with either in counselling or Pastoral Accompaniment.
