Ann Scanlon
Profile
I am a BACP accredited Person Centred Counsellor. I became a qualified Counsellor in 2001. I am passionate in my role as a counsellor and offer a service where I can provide trust, empathy, understanding, and a listening ear. I tailor the counselling to suit the individual. I believe in being real and ensuring my client feels safe in a non-judgemental, confidential and caring environment allowing my client to explore their own thoughts and emotions which in turn will allow them to work through solutions to support them in their everyday life. It is really important in my role that my client feels important and really heard, that they are seen as individuals.
Presently I specialize in loss and bereavement, depression, anxiety, Anger management, Personal Development, Self-Esteem, self-harm and life in general. I have practiced as a Person Centred Counsellor offering support to adults and children in a counselling role for 16 years. I provide clinical supervision and I also deliver training session and workshops on how to support the grieving child.
