Counselling and pastoral accompaniment for Catholic clergy

Anna Bailey

I’m Anna Bailey, a counsellor and psychotherapist based in Sheffield. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Leeds Beckett University. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP 420381) and abide by the BACP Ethical Framework.

I studied Catholic Theology at undergraduate and postgraduate level and hold a masters degree in Marriage and Family.

Before training as a therapist, I worked as a Programme Manager for a Catholic education-resources company. Earlier roles in youth ministry, education, pastoral care and communications, in faith-based settings, shaped my interest in how people make meaning, carry pain and find hope. Over time, that work led me to train as a therapist.

I trained as an integrative psychotherapist, which means I draw on more than one therapeutic tradition rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. I tailor the work to each client’s needs, hopes and preferences.

Today, I offer a warm, attentive and professional space for people seeking healing, growth and greater freedom in their lives.

When I am not seeing clients, you will often find me gardening, reading with a cup of Yorkshire Tea, or cooking for family and friends.
