Carmel Ward
I am aware that the relationship between the counsellor and client is paramount and therefore strive to encourage and guide clients throughout the therapeutic process by really listening, offering compassion and motivating them to be the people they were called to be. I have successfully worked with many clients with differing beliefs and cultures and without exception treat each and every person equally, respectfully and as unique individuals. I am able to provide a safe confidential space to talk and my hope is that clients will feel heard, valued and understood. I know from experience that individual counselling can help with personal issues in life such as anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, addictions, relationship difficulties, bereavement and many others. For this reason I see counselling as a vocation and I am passionate about helping others and making a difference to the lives of my clients.
I hold a CPCAB L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, an Online & Telephone Counselling Certificate and am fully trained in Bereavement work. I offer long and short term counselling to adults.
I am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and an Accredited Registrant of the NCS (National Counselling Society). I work in accordance with their Ethical Frameworks.
