THERAPY AND YOU

Therapy (counselling) means different things to different people, and there are many approaches to it.

You may be interested in it because you are struggling with something. The situation may be impacting on your feelings, thoughts, behaviours, work, health or relationships.

Perhaps you want help in navigating through a time of loss, change or development.

Perhaps you want to understand your life (past, present or future) and your identity more clearly, to be able to explore and make choices that leave you fulfilled.

Maybe you’d like to find a space to express yourself and be heard by another person without any judgement, pressure or agenda.

Therapy offers an opportunity to do all of the above and more, in the context of a confidential, respectful and trusting relationship.

MY APPROACH

I will encourage you to take the lead in terms of what material you bring and how you might want us to explore it.

I will seek to help you use all your personal and life resources – thoughts, feelings, strengths, convictions, relationships, and more – to increase the freedom you have to make the choices and changes you want.

I offer face to face, telephone and online sessions

I am a registered member of both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)(register number 380867) and the Catholic Psychotherapy Association and am bound by their ethical frameworks.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London (a BACP-accredited course).

I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, bereavement, addictions, trauma, stress, and difficulties with relationships and employment, amongst others.
