Helen Carvalhido Gilbert

I offer a welcoming, confidential and non-judgmental space for you to explore whatever’s happening in your life. I work holistically, interested in you as a whole person and paying attention to your mind, body, spirit, and lived experience. My role is to travel alongside you for a time, to help make the way easier and support you to live your own wisdom and fullness.

As a processworker I am integrative in my approach and the way we work is shaped by your individuality and the issues you want to explore. I work with many experiences including:

  • body symptoms and illness
  • anxiety and depression
  • grief and bereavement
  • relationship issues
  • life choices and direction
  • stress and trauma
  • internalised oppression

I offer one-to-one therapy for individuals and also relationship therapy for two people wanting to explore issues in their relationship whether they are colleagues, friends, siblings or spouses. Individual sessions last 50 minutes and cost £40. Sessions can be online or over the phone.

I am an advanced student of Processwork and a trainee psychotherapist registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UCKP). I observe the standards of ethics and practice laid out in the UKCP and Processwork UK Code of Ethics.

I live in Birmingham, trained as a Prayer Guide with Manresa Link and bring my own experience of prayer, faith and parish life, strongly rooted in a spirit of pilgrimage and in Celtic and Ignatian spirituality.

I also work as a facilitator offering:

  • training and facilitation for groups and teams
  • dialogues that bring communities together to address challenging issues
  • conflict mediation and coaching
