Counselling and pastoral accompaniment for Catholic clergy

Mrs Dawn Allison

Profile

I grew up as a Christian in the Anglican setting and was married in my mid-twenties. I was widowed at the age of 29 with a child under two. This led me on a journey into Clinical Theology as part of my recovery. At the end of this training I was employed as a Pastoral Assistant in the Church of England where I learned the joys and difficulties encountered in community life. To increase my awareness and expertise, I trained at St. John’s Theological College in pastoral counselling. I now work in a variety of community projects as a supervisor and in private practice counselling and supervising clergy in the Christian and non- Christian setting where I believe my faith is used to help and discern the well-being of the person.
