Rino Giordano
For Rino, counselling and psychotherapy are more than a profession—they are a vocation. After a career in teaching and consultancy, he felt a clear calling to work more directly with people and qualified as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist in 2012. Since then, he has developed a well-established private practice, working primarily with adults—both individuals and couples—and supporting young people in educational settings.
A significant part of Rino’s work involves supporting Catholic clergy and those in religious life. He has extensive experience working with priests and other members of the clergy, offering a confidential and reflective space to explore personal, emotional, vocational, and relational challenges. His understanding of Church life, formation, and ministry enables him to work sensitively and effectively within this context, respecting both the personal needs of the individual and the responsibilities of their vocation.
Rino’s therapeutic approach is integrative, with a strong emphasis on person-centred therapy, and draws on cognitive and behavioural techniques, psychodynamic theory, brief solution-focused therapy, and positive psychology. As a practicing Catholic, he is able—when requested—to provide therapy that is thoughtfully underpinned by the teachings of the Catholic Church, integrating faith and psychological insight in a respectful and professional manner.
In addition to his work with clergy, Rino supports individuals and couples facing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, addictions, ADHD, eating disorders, trauma, grief and loss, personality disorders, sexual abuse, and relationship difficulties. He also works with engaged couples, offering guidance and preparation as they move toward marriage.
Alongside his clinical work, Rino provides professional clinical supervision, supporting fellow therapists in their practice with care, integrity, and depth
