Counselling and pastoral accompaniment for Catholic clergy

Tino Savanhu

I have completed my  MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Derby, a BACP-accredited Level 7 qualification. Having successfully achieved both the Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma (2023–2025), I am now a qualified psychotherapist, using an integrative approach (CBT, Person centered and Attachment work) BACP membership number: 01013069

I am passionate about supporting individuals affected by addiction and promoting long-term recovery and mental well-being. I am committed to working within settings  where I can contribute to creating a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment for all my clients.

Through my academic training and placements, I have developed strong communication (both written and verbal), active listening, and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to manage complex emotional presentations. My experience working with diverse age groups delivering therapeutic support through group-work sessions and one-to-one interventions. This has strengthened my empathy, resilience, and adaptability, enabling me to build therapeutic relationships based on trust and respect.

I bring a proactive, compassionate, and reflective approach to my work, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. I am currently in the process of establishing my own private practice with the support of my clinical supervisor, while seeking opportunities  to gain more experience.
